Be Da’ Attitude You Want To See

The message of the gospel is truly a simple one when broken down from the index of Matthew – the beatitudes. The world around needs to change but the big question is how and where do I start? Those answers are not far from you – they are you. How does it look?

Amongst the greedy – be the poor

Amongst those mourning – be the comfort

Amongst the proud – be the humility

Amongst the ignorant – be the wisdom

Amongst the judgmental – be the merciful

Amongst the deceit – be the sincerity

Amongst the violence – be the peace

Amongst the accusations – be the integrity

Cause if salt tastes like the rest of the food – then what good is that salt exactly? If light goes out and blends in with darkness – it ceases being light.

This message is very simple – be the change that isn’t there and it will soon appear.

  1. Hmmm…no comments – interesting – but if you think about it even if this is the crux of the teachings of Jesus – this is not well reflected in church teachings in general.

  2. I just read a Gandhi quote the other day that said this exact same thing:

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” (Mahatma Gandhi)

Funny I would say something like this man from India – must be the gospels!

  3. From Deepak Chopra’s latest book.

“Did you know, Gandhi carried a copy of the Sermon on the Mount throughout his life, and he lived it to the letter? His Christ-consciousness was so powerful that he brought down the British Empire.”

Is there any question where that idea came from? Hmmm.

This is an excellent post BTW. Good work.
