Christmas Season is here!

I put the Christmas tree up yesterday and watched Inception – Christmas season is officially here!

For me, Christmas is kind of about the day of Christmas, the giving and recieving – the feeling of happiness that’s all part of that exchange – it’s very child-like and I hope to never change. I also like the holidays since people seem to be in brighter spirits this time of year…and nothing wrong with some holidays and nog.

What do these holidays mean to you?

  1. I love “Inception” as an idea and as a movie it is certainly grande.
I almost have it figured out, perhaps a few more watches and it will sink in. Leo’s character certainly does not wake-up at the end, someone has planted the idea in his head that he is at home, when in truth he is still dreaming (Inception was performed on him).

Concerning the holidays, I see far too many problems on many levels with our most high holy holiday of glorious shopping and dash to the cash-register. It is the time of the season, you know, when most $$$ is spent and accumulated. A nice little boost to the economy.

Certainly their is nothing wrong with celbration, but what exactly are we celebrating?

People will call me “grinch” or “scrooge” becuase that is the vulgar thing to say and it shows an automated response to a critical thought about what is really going-on. But even the old Grinch and Scrooge were redeemed in the end by their charity, were they not.

I thought that too when I watched it…because the spinner never falls at the end.

For me, I just celebrate having a fun time and some holidays – being away from work, relaxing, and enjoying life for a bit. I like the gifts thing – always fun to get a present and give a present…something about opening gifts on Christmas that is pure fun.
